It seems that no matter who you are you either prefer fruit or vegetables. So how do make sure you’ve got both in your diet? The goal is to eat 2&5;
2 servings of fruit and 5 of vegetables. If you don’t really like vegetables this can be a bit of a struggle for you. There are ways around this.
Firstly, make sure you try everything. If you can find one or two fruits or vegetables that you like you can stick with them and slip the ones you don’t
like into a juice or smoothie.
A great way to sneak the vegies and fruits that you don’t like into your diet is through smoothies or juices. You don’t have to add a great deal of the
vegie or fruit in. If you’re making an apple juice, sneak some carrot and celery in there. You’ll barely be able to taste it. Find what works for you
in regards to this. Find the combination of flavours that you like.
Go fresh. Head down to your local farmers market for fresh produce. It can make all the difference when the food is fresh. Being surrounded by all the
produce will also make you more likely to get something.
Keep it visible. You’re more likely to grab a handful of grapes of a banana after a long day at work if you can see it. Seeing it makes it accessible and
means you’re less likely to head to the pantry and grab a bag of chips.
Get creative with your fruits and vegies. It’s important to make sure you have a balanced diet that includes fruit and vegetables. Whether that means snacking
on them during the day or serving them with your meals, make sure you get you 2&5.
