1. Stretch before you get on the treadmill
2. When you get on, warm up first – walk for at least 10 minutes
3. Increase the incline slowly – 1-2%
4. Add interval training, as well as checking your heart rate
5. Decrease the elevation of the treadmill back to zero degrees, and begin cooling down. This could take up to 10 minutes.

5. Programs
It’s like having a personal trainer in your own home. Pre-set programs take the guess work out of your workout. And it provides endless variety each time to step up on the treadmill.

Seeing what you’ve achieved right before your very eyes is the most rewarding of all!

A popular program is the ‘Variable Hill Climb’ – helps define shape and build strength to reveal the curves and definition.
