Pizza isn’t generally loaded with lots of nutrients but you can always make your own with good ingredients. You can always talk yourself out of doing
it yourself but it generally takes the same amount of time and is so much better for you.
Don’t overdo it. Add healthy toppings to your pizza but don’t over do it. Make the base thinner so that you’re not eating as many carbs. You can add
things like spinach, capsicum and tomato to get some nutrients into your body. You can also swap ham for chicken so it’s healthier.
New bases. There are so many different options for bases. You can make some out of zucchini, sweet potato, eggplant and many more vegetables. If you
can’t handle that many vegetables you can use whole-wheat flour or even pita bread instead of heavy dough.
Avoid pre-made BBQ or tomato sauces that are packed with sugar. Use sliced tomato or garlic paste instead. Or if you’re feeling daring, you can always
try making your own sauce.
Cheese. Cheese is packed with fat so there are many options to avoid this blunder. You can use a low fat cheese or cottage, ricotta, or low fat feta.
Most of the things you love you can switch around so that you don’t have to completely give up the things you love.
