The one thing no one can buy is time. Yet some people seem to be able to achieve so much within 24 hours. According to Mumpreneur, you have many things that will try to hijack your day, but the key to staying ahead is to stay in control. 


Managing choices

We can’t add any more hours to the day, but we can choose how we spend the time. When you find yourself stressed, rushed and behind in the day, take note of what led you there. Are you saying ‘yes’ to things that you could be saying ‘no’ to. Prioritizing is the best way to ensure you managing your time wisely.

Most of us, at one stage or another, have said to ourselves we “don’t have time to exercise.” But what we’re really saying is that we are not making it a priority in our day. Instead, carry a journal or notebook and start documenting how you spend your day. This will help find out how you can rearrange your schedule to find the time to work on your health. Let’s face it, it can be as little as 10 minutes (on vibration machine) or 30 minutes (on a treadmill).


Time Wasting

Now that you have written down all your activities throughout the day, you can also make note of any occasions where you could have used time more efficiently. Perhaps you’re procrastinating over something, or taking more coffee breaks than you realised. Whatever it may be, find those little moments that can add up to quite a lot of time across the day. Be honest with yourself and determine the changes you could make in your own personal habits that would free up more time.

A great tip to work in some exercise during the day is to have all your equipment/clothes ready to go. Early in the morning or at the end of the day, lay out your workout clothes (with shoes and socks) so they are ready and waiting for you to get changed and get going. By placing the fitness equipment in a space that easily accessible and comfortable, you’re more likely to make the most of it.

As women, in general we have the ability to multi-task and we often use this ability in a way that benefits others. Why not use it to your own benefit?
